Q1. Tell us something about YOU and your musical background (equip. you use etc).
Just like alot of other musicians in the chiptune scene, I am not musically trained in any way - just self learned. I started playing around with
Modplug Tracker and Fast Tracker 2 late 2002 together with two friends, and about a year and a half after that I got introduced to LSDJ for
the Game Boy, which I've been stuck with ever since.
It is my main tool for making music as it is right now, but I'm also working with other stuff (See Q3.).
Q2. When you started to make music? How many releases do you have (totally)?
I've released two online EPs so far - one on mp3death.us and one on 8bitpeoples.com - and also participated in a few compilation albums,
like this one, for instance.
Q3. Tell us about your future plans...
Next big thing coming up in my chipmusic caledar is Blip Festival in New York, which you - whoever reads this - already should know
everything about! Legendary chipmusic festival, with a line-up of artists that should make anyone sell his/hers family for affording
to attend at it. Second is my next 8bitpeoples EP, which will be released in a very close future. It will be all LSDj, just like my last release,
but I'm also working on a full-lenght album for Rebel Pet Set, where I combine Game Boy, MSX and Ableton Live.
I'm really excited about that, and hopefully it will be released - as a CD-R most likely - during the first quarter of 2007.
Q4. Your favorite artists and netlabels?
My favorite artists are way too many to mention, but whithin the chiptune scene, some of the musicians I respect the most is Zabutom,
Crazy Q, Role Model, Nim and Goto 80. Yes, I know they all happen to be swedish, and I don't really have any good explenation about that...
I just guess that Sweden is superior ;) Among netlabels, 8bitpeoples has some real kick ass releases, and it just seems to be getting
better and better for every release (more or less)! Analogik is also a fantastic netlabel.
Q5. Your favourite computer game(s) ;)
The best game ever made is Grim Fandango for PC. I've played it through at least ten times, and it just keeps on getting better.
The story, the characters, the feeling... Never played such an involving, well written, funny, interesting and wonderful game.
Also, the score - which is written by America's best superstar soundtrack composer Peter McConnell - is outstanding! I still listen to it regulary.
